Job Description Job Description Pay range is based on experience level. Concrete Laborer Duties Assist with site preparation, including setting forms, grading, and layout. Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment. Mix, pour, and spread concrete under supervision. Place reinforcing steel, rebar, mesh, or other reinforcement materials. Operate hand tools and power tools such as shovels, rakes, vibrators, and compactors. Assist finishers during concrete placement and finishing operations. Maintain a clean and safe job site. Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines. Concrete Finisher Duties Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using trowels, floats, screeds, and hand tools. Set forms and ensure proper grade, depth, and alignment. Apply finishing techniques such as edging, broom finishing, stamping, or decorative textures. Correct surface imperfections and ensure high-quality finish. Monitor curing of concrete and apply curing compounds as required. Read blueprints and specifications related to concrete pours. Operate finishing equipment such as power trowels. Train or guide laborers as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in concrete labor or concrete finishing preferred. Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Knowledge of concrete tools, equipment, and finishing techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Reliable transportation and punctuality. Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction.
