Job Description

The repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) nurse is primarily responsible for administering rTMS treatment monitoring patient safety. and coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team for individuals with treatment-resistant depression.   Under the supervision of a psychiatrist duties include patient screening and preparation education operating and maintaining equipment and evaluating patients during and after sessions using standardized rating scales.

Qualifications :

• Case Manager (MSW/OT/RN) required
• Registered with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Experience working in a mental health setting
• Previous TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) experience or willing to obtain
• Experience working with patients independently
• Knowledge and experience in patient focused goal setting and the use of outcome measures
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills needed
• Sound clinical judgement and critical thinking required
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be flexible and show an ability to work collaboratively within a interdisciplinary team
• Liaise with community partners family physicians and case managers 
• Develop programming based on best practice
• Excellent problem solving and conflict/crisis resolution skills
• Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and other related legislation
• Ability to adapt to the demands of a constantly changing workload
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Information :

Hours:  Monday to Friday days 7.5 hour shifts (hours subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary : $46.004 to $59.637 per hour
